May 29, 2012: Run for Water Marathon

This weekend I ran my first race ever. I ran a half marathon in Abbotsford. Middle of the pack is about the best I could muster, but the time wasn't as important to me as actually finishing was. My training was sparse this month, not as organized as I would have liked, but the best I could do under the circumstances. May brought about a lot of changes both personally and with the business. My son turned 18, and also graduated on Sunday. Congrats Devon :) May also brought about my wife's 40th, numerous dance competitions, and band tour trips to Ontario, and concerts. In early May, we acquired our second water company to date: Just One Drop Water Company. (the previous acquisition was Splash a year earlier). Acquisitions are great, but require some serious focus. I will be hiring again very soon to keep up.

Now that a majority of the month is behind me, I can look forward to building the business, and training for the next race!
