Woke up this morning to... Yup. Rain. Not sure if that's just Astoria, but well see. It's not raining hard, and it's only *mildly* cold.
Continental breakfast was coffee, banana and packaged muffins. Yum. Good thing I stopped last night for water and trail mix before I checked in. Ready to just roll!
I will park my car here at the visitor centre and embark. Feels weird to leave everything, and rely solely on what's attached to my bike. I actually thinned out the load this morning. I reduced my clothes to 2 days worth. I will have to do laundry very other day at least. I guess I will wash every chance I get.
The accommodations will range between cheap motels and yurts. If you haven't seen a yurt, it basically a cross between a cabin and a teepee. Powered and heated, but not much else. I will try to stay in one tonight in Nahalen Bay. Looks like its only 80km or so from here. Manageable first day.
